Quick answer
The newest models are where Dubai wins big. The Apple Watch Series 12 (42mm GPS) is AED 1,599 in Dubai, about PKR 120,700, against roughly PKR 157,000 in Pakistan. Last year's models like the Apple Watch SE 3, Series 11 and AirPods Pro 3 cost almost the same in both places, so they're rarely worth the hassle of bringing in.
Buy the GPS Apple Watch, not GPS + Cellular. Pakistani networks don't offer Apple Watch cellular service, and a cellular watch can need PTA registration.
Prices checked November 2026, converted at about PKR 75.5 per dirham.
"Bring me AirPods from Dubai" isn't always the smart ask
Every Pakistani family has a version of this message. Someone is flying in from Dubai, and the group chat lights up: bhai, AirPods le aana.
It sounds like an easy win. Dubai is cheaper, right?
Sometimes. When we lined up current prices from Apple's UAE store, big Dubai retailers and Pakistani shops this month, the answer split cleanly in two. On the newest Apple Watch, Dubai saves you around PKR 36,000. On AirPods Pro 3, the gap is so small that a single bank markup can wipe it out.
So before you ask anyone to carry anything, here's which Apple wearables are actually worth bringing from Dubai, what PTA and customs mean for each, and the cheapest way to get them to Lahore, Karachi or Islamabad.
Apple Watch price in Pakistan vs Dubai (2026): Series 12, Ultra 4, Series 11 and SE 3
Apple's current lineup is the Series 12, Ultra 4 and SE 3, with last year's Series 11 still on sale at a discount. Here's how each compares. Dubai prices are from iSTYLE, an Apple reseller, and include 5% UAE VAT. Pakistan prices are the lowest listings we found on PriceOye and at Lahore retailers.
- Apple Watch Series 12 (42mm GPS)
- Dubai: AED 1,599, about PKR 120,700
- Pakistan: from about PKR 157,000
- Gap: around PKR 36,000. Worth bringing in.
- Apple Watch Ultra 4
- Dubai: AED 3,199, about PKR 241,500
- Pakistan: about PKR 250,000 to 290,000
- Gap: PKR 8,500 to 48,500, depending on the seller. Often worth it.
- Apple Watch Series 11 (42mm GPS)
- Dubai: on sale from about AED 1,399, about PKR 105,600
- Pakistan: from about PKR 107,000
- Gap: under PKR 2,000. Not worth it.
- Apple Watch SE 3 (40mm GPS)
- Dubai: AED 999, about PKR 75,400
- Pakistan: from about PKR 80,000
- Gap: around PKR 4,600. Barely worth it.
The pattern is simple once you see it. Pakistani sellers price launch-year models high and drop older ones close to their Dubai price. If you want the newest watch, Dubai is the move. If you're happy with last year's model, buy it locally with a local warranty and save yourself the trouble.
The gap also moves. Pakistani prices shift with the dollar, and Dubai retailers run sales around Black Friday, White Friday and Dubai Shopping Festival. Check both on the day you buy. We keep a running list of Dubai vs Pakistan gaps on our price receipts page.
Older Apple Watch prices in Pakistan (Series 6, 7, 8, 9 and Ultra)
Apple no longer sells these models new, so in Pakistan they mostly change hands used, on OLX and in shops. Here's what sellers were asking in early November 2026. Asking prices aren't final prices, and most sellers settle a little lower.
- Apple Watch Series 9 price in Pakistan: about Rs 55,000 to 85,000 used. Boxed, unactivated units go for roughly Rs 70,000 to 100,000.
- Apple Watch Series 8 price in Pakistan: about Rs 35,000 to 63,000 used, depending on size, battery health and whether it's the cellular model.
- Apple Watch Series 7 price in Pakistan: about Rs 30,000 to 60,000 used, with most 45mm listings around Rs 38,000 to 52,000.
- Apple Watch Series 6 price in Pakistan: about Rs 25,000 to 39,000 used.
- Apple Watch Ultra price in Pakistan (first generation): about Rs 90,000 to 125,000 used.
- Apple Watch Ultra 2 price in Pakistan: about Rs 110,000 to 150,000 used. Sealed units are listed far higher.
The current models, Series 11, Series 12 and Ultra 4, are covered in the comparison above.
Our take: for an older watch, buy locally. Dubai's advantage is on new models at launch prices. An older watch sells for much the same in both places, and a local purchase lets you check it in person before you pay.
One warning: listings far below these ranges are often iCloud-locked. We saw Series 9 and Ultra 2 watches marked "iCloud locked" for less than half the usual price. A locked watch can't be set up on your iPhone, so it's close to worthless to you.
AirPods price in Pakistan vs Dubai (2026)
AirPods are where the "Dubai is always cheaper" idea falls apart. The current lineup is AirPods 5 (launched September 2026), AirPods Pro 3 and AirPods Max 2.
- AirPods Pro 3
- Dubai: AED 949 at Apple's UAE store (about PKR 71,600), but AED 780 on sale at Sharaf DG (about PKR 58,900)
- Pakistan: from about PKR 62,000, with most shops at PKR 63,000 to 70,000
- Gap: about PKR 3,000 against the Dubai sale price. Pay Apple's full Dubai price and Pakistan is actually cheaper.
- AirPods 5
- Dubai: AED 549 at Sharaf DG (about PKR 41,400), or AED 629 with the wireless charging case (about PKR 47,500)
- Pakistan: local AirPods 5 prices are still settling. The outgoing AirPods 4 sells for about PKR 41,000.
- Verdict: if you want the new model now, Dubai gets you AirPods 5 for roughly what Pakistan charges for last year's.
- AirPods Max 2
- Dubai: AED 2,099 at Apple (about PKR 158,500), or AED 1,778 at Sharaf DG (about PKR 134,200)
- Pakistan: listings are thin. Some shops still ask around PKR 185,000 for the older AirPods Max.
- Verdict: a big gap if the Dubai sale price holds, but bulky. It takes real suitcase space.
One warning that matters more than any price: Pakistani sites openly sell "AirPods Pro 3" master copies for around PKR 3,500. If a deal on real AirPods looks more than 20% under the prices above, assume it's a copy. Every genuine pair has a serial number you can check on Apple's coverage page, and our guide to online shopping scams in Pakistan covers how to vet a seller.
Do Apple Watch and AirPods need PTA registration?
This is the most confused topic online. You'll find Pakistani sites saying smartwatches never need PTA, and others saying every watch does. The real answer depends on one thing: does the device have its own cellular connection?
- AirPods (any model): no PTA registration. They have no SIM and no IMEI.
- Apple Watch GPS: no PTA registration. It connects through your iPhone over Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
- Apple Watch GPS + Cellular: PTA's own DIRBS FAQ lists smart watches among the devices it covers, and Apple devices with eSIM carry a digital IMEI that PTA says must be registered too.
Here's the part most guides miss. Even if you register a cellular Apple Watch, you probably can't use its cellular feature in Pakistan. Apple's list of carriers that support Apple Watch cellular service doesn't name any Pakistani network, and Ufone says its eSIM doesn't support Apple Watch. So in Pakistan, a cellular Apple Watch works exactly like a GPS one: through your phone.
Our take: buy the GPS model. When the Series 11 launched in Dubai, the cellular version cost AED 400 more than the GPS one (AED 1,999 vs AED 1,599 at launch prices). Skip it and you also skip the PTA question entirely.
Phones are a different story. If the iPhone your watch pairs with came from abroad, it needs its own PTA registration. Our PTA tax guide covers that.
What about customs?
An Apple Watch or AirPods carried by a traveler count against their duty-free personal allowance. That allowance is a value limit that grows with how long they were abroad, and we list the numbers in our Pakistan customs allowance guide. One watch or one pair of AirPods for personal use usually fits. Five boxed pairs in one suitcase looks like stock, and Customs will treat it that way.
Buying a used Apple Watch or AirPods on OLX
The used market is where most Pakistani buyers find older Apple Watches, and where most of the risk sits. Run these five checks before any money changes hands:
- Activation Lock is off. Ask the seller to unpair the watch from their iPhone and erase it in front of you, then start pairing it with yours. If it asks for someone else's Apple ID, walk away.
- The serial number matches. Find it on the watch under Settings > General > About, check it against the box, then enter it on Apple's coverage page to confirm the model.
- Battery health is acceptable. It's under Settings > Battery > Battery Health. Below about 85%, factor in a replacement.
- There's a box or a receipt. Neither proves everything, but a watch with neither deserves a lower price and more questions.
- You meet in person. Don't pay upfront for a watch you haven't held and paired.
Used AirPods Pro need extra care. Copies sell openly in Pakistan for around Rs 3,500, and some even carry cloned serial numbers. Check the serial on Apple's coverage page, then test noise cancellation and Transparency mode with your own iPhone before paying. Good copies can fake the pairing pop-up, so the real test is how the noise cancellation sounds.
This is the same trust problem escrow solves: your money is held until you've confirmed the item is what was promised.
Worked example: the sticker gap vs the real saving
The sticker gap isn't your saving. Delivery and your bank's foreign exchange markup come off the top. Here's the same math for two products, assuming a traveler brings the item with a delivery reward of about PKR 4,500 (close to BRNG's sample estimate for a single small item) and a 3% card markup.
Apple Watch Series 12 (42mm GPS)
- Item in Dubai: AED 1,599, about PKR 120,700
- Traveler reward: about PKR 4,500
- 3% bank markup: about PKR 3,600
- Total: about PKR 128,800
- Local price: about PKR 157,000
- You save: about PKR 28,000
AirPods Pro 3
- Item in Dubai (sale price): AED 780, about PKR 58,900
- Traveler reward: about PKR 4,500
- 3% bank markup: about PKR 1,800
- Total: about PKR 65,200
- Local price: from about PKR 62,000
- You lose: about PKR 3,200
Same route, same traveler, opposite answers. The watch is worth bringing in. The AirPods aren't, unless someone you know is carrying them as a favor and you pay them in Dubai with a card that has no markup.
If your traveler isn't a UAE resident, they can also claim back most of the 5% UAE VAT at the airport through the tourist refund scheme. On a Series 12 that's roughly AED 60 to 70 back. Nice, but not something to plan around.
The cheapest way to buy an Apple Watch or AirPods in Pakistan
There are four realistic routes. Which one wins depends on the model.
- Buy locally from a reputable shop. Best for AirPods Pro 3, Series 11 and SE 3, where Dubai saves you little. You get the item today and someone local to complain to if it fails.
- A relative or friend flying from Dubai. Best for one Series 12 or Ultra 4. Cheapest when it works, but you're relying on them remembering, buying the right size and carrying cash or a card for it.
- A traveler platform with escrow. Best for the newest models when you don't have a relative on the route. Your payment is held until you confirm delivery.
- Ordering online from a UAE store. Hit and miss. Many UAE sites don't deliver to Pakistan, so you'll usually still need someone in Dubai to receive it. Our guide on ordering from Dubai to Pakistan explains the options.
Before you buy: a quick checklist
- Pick the GPS model. Cellular adds cost and a PTA question for a feature Pakistani networks don't support. What goes wrong: you pay AED 400 extra for an LTE watch that never connects.
- Pick the right case size. Current Apple Watches come in two sizes: 42mm or 46mm for the Series 11 and 12, and 40mm or 44mm for the SE 3. The smaller size suits smaller wrists and is lighter to wear all day, so check the wrist before you check the price. What goes wrong: a 46mm watch ordered for a slim wrist looks oversized and slides around.
- Check the band size. Apple Watch sport bands come in S/M and M/L. What goes wrong: the watch arrives with a band that doesn't fit, and swapping it in Pakistan costs extra.
- Compare the landed cost, not the sticker. Add delivery and your bank's markup before deciding.
- Check the serial number on arrival. Enter it on Apple's coverage page before you pay anyone in full.
- Keep the receipt with the item. It helps with Customs and with Apple warranty claims later. Apple has no official store in Pakistan, so ask any local seller exactly what their "warranty" covers.
Where BRNG fits
An Apple Watch is close to the perfect traveler item: small, light, and worth tens of thousands of rupees more in Pakistan than in Dubai. That's exactly what BRNG is being built for. You post the product link, a verified traveler already flying from Dubai accepts it, and your payment stays in escrow until you confirm the watch is in your hand. See the full flow on how BRNG works.
The same escrow protects you when a used deal feels too good to be true: nothing is released until you've checked the watch yourself.
Flying from Dubai yourself? A watch box barely registers against your baggage allowance, and our earning calculator shows what carrying one could be worth.
We'll be honest: BRNG is still pre-launch, so it can't deliver your watch this month. Join the waitlist for first access. Signups from your city decide where we launch first.
Final takeaway
Dubai wins on the newest Apple Watch, by around PKR 28,000 after delivery. On AirPods and older watches, the gap is too small to chase. Buy the GPS model, check the serial number, and do the landed-cost math before anyone books a suitcase for you.
FAQs
- For the newest models, yes. The Apple Watch Series 12 (42mm GPS) is AED 1,599 in Dubai, about PKR 120,700, against roughly PKR 157,000 in Pakistan. Older models like the SE 3 and Series 11 cost almost the same in both places.
- Only slightly, and sometimes not at all. AirPods Pro 3 are AED 949 at Apple's UAE store but often around AED 780 on sale, about PKR 58,900, while Pakistani shops start around PKR 62,000. After delivery and bank fees, buying locally is often cheaper.
- The GPS model doesn't, because it has no SIM or IMEI. A GPS + Cellular model can need DIRBS registration, but Pakistani networks don't currently support Apple Watch cellular service, so the GPS model is the better buy.
- No. AirPods have no SIM or IMEI, so PTA registration doesn't apply.
- One watch for personal use usually falls within a traveler's duty-free allowance, which depends on how long they were abroad. Items above that allowance, or several units of the same product, can be charged duty.
- Check the serial number on Apple's coverage page and compare the price. Copies sell openly in Pakistan for around PKR 3,500, so a deal far below market price is a red flag.
- Used Series 9 watches were listed at about Rs 55,000 to 85,000 in early November 2026, and boxed, unactivated units at roughly Rs 70,000 to 100,000. Apple no longer sells the Series 9 new, so most sales are used.
- Used Series 8 watches were listed at about Rs 35,000 to 63,000 in early November 2026. The price depends on size, battery health and whether it's the cellular model.
- The new Ultra 4 sells for about Rs 250,000 to 290,000. Used Ultra 2 watches are listed at about Rs 110,000 to 150,000, and the first-generation Ultra at about Rs 90,000 to 125,000.
- It can be, if you check it in person first. Make sure Activation Lock is off by pairing it with your own iPhone, match the serial number on Apple's coverage page, and check battery health. Avoid listings far below market price, which are often iCloud-locked.
