• What is BRNG?+
  BRNG is a peer-to-peer cross-border shopping platform for Pakistan. You request an international product, a verified traveler who is already flying to Pakistan buys it and carries it in their luggage, and your payment is held in escrow until you confirm delivery. It's a way to get real international retail prices — no importer markups, no middlemen — on things that are overpriced locally or don't ship to Pakistan at all.
• Is BRNG available rn?+
  Not yet — we're still building. Right now we're collecting demand signals through the waitlist so we launch in the cities where people actually want it first. Joining takes about 20 seconds, costs nothing, and genuinely shapes our rollout order: the more signups from your city, the sooner BRNG goes live there. Waitlist members also get first access before the public launch and a spot on the Wall of Fame.
• Who handles customs + airline rules?+
  The traveler is. Before accepting any request, the traveler is responsible for checking their airline's baggage policy and Pakistani customs limits for that item. BRNG doesn't clear customs, pay duties, or give legal advice — but we surface guidance so travelers only accept items that are legal to carry, and buyers are told upfront that any customs duty charged on arrival is theirs to cover. If an item looks borderline, the traveler can simply decline it.
• How do travelers actually get paid?+
  When you place a request, the delivery reward is agreed and your full payment — item cost, reward, and BRNG fee — is locked in escrow. The traveler buys the item, carries it, and hands it over in Pakistan. The moment you confirm receipt in the app, escrow releases the traveler's reward to them automatically, usually within minutes. No cash handoffs, no chasing, no awkward 'did you send it yet' messages.
• What items are NOT allowed?+
  Anything restricted by airlines, Pakistani customs, or import law — weapons and ammunition, controlled substances and prescription drugs, flammable or hazardous goods, perishable food, live animals, and anything banned from import. High-value categories like gold or bulk electronics can also trigger customs duty the buyer has to pay. Beyond the hard bans, every traveler decides for themselves what they're comfortable carrying, and there's zero pressure from BRNG either way.
• Which cities launch first?+
  Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad are first in line, and the exact order depends on waitlist demand. When you sign up you tell us your city, and that vote directly moves your city up the queue. If you're outside those three, still join — enough signups from any city puts it on the roadmap for the next wave.
• How much does it cost to use BRNG as a buyer?+
  You pay three things: the real international price of the item — the same price shown on the store's own site — the delivery reward you agree with the traveler, and a BRNG service fee that covers escrow and verification. There are no hidden markups on the product itself and no subscription. Exact fee percentages will be published before launch, and if a delivery doesn't complete you're refunded in full from escrow.
• How much can a traveler earn per delivery?+
  The delivery reward is set when the buyer creates the request, so you see exactly what you'll earn before you accept anything. Rewards scale with the item's value, size, and how urgently it's needed. Because you're using luggage space on a flight you're already taking, it's close to pure upside — a few requests on one trip can cover a meaningful chunk of your ticket.
• What is the escrow system and how does it protect me?+
  Escrow is the core of how BRNG keeps both sides safe. When the buyer pays, the full amount is locked by the platform — the traveler can see it's funded but can't touch it. The traveler purchases the item and uploads the actual store receipt, so the buyer can verify the real price and product. After the buyer physically receives the item and confirms in the app, escrow releases the traveler's reward automatically. Neither side can be cheated: the buyer can't deny payment once they've accepted the item, and the traveler can't be paid without a confirmed delivery. If something goes wrong, funds stay frozen until BRNG support resolves it.
• What products can I request on BRNG?+
  Almost anything sold internationally that a traveler can legally carry in luggage. Common requests: consoles and electronics such as a PS5 from Dubai or a discounted MacBook from a US Black Friday sale, sneakers and limited drops from Nike or adidas UK, skincare and makeup from Sephora, fragrances from European duty-free, supplements, and hard-to-find fashion. You paste the product link from any international store, and travelers heading your way can pick it up. Restricted and hazardous items are the main exception.
• Is BRNG a courier or shipping company?+
  No. BRNG isn't a courier, freight forwarder, or shipping company, and we don't operate warehouses or vehicles. What we provide is the trust layer: payment escrow, ID verification, ratings, and dispute support. The actual item is bought by a real traveler and handed to you in person once they land in Pakistan. Think of it as a marketplace that makes peer-to-peer delivery safe, not a logistics operator.
• Do I need to be verified to use BRNG?+
  Travelers must complete government-issued ID verification before they can accept a single request, and their name, ratings, and completed-delivery count are visible to buyers. Buyers verify their phone and payment method. This keeps everyone accountable — if a traveler misbehaves there's a real identity attached, and buyers can choose travelers with a strong track record.
• What happens if there is a dispute?+
  If a delivery is late, the item is wrong, or something else goes sideways, either side can open a dispute and escrow stays frozen — no money moves until it's resolved. BRNG support reviews the uploaded receipt, the in-app chat history, delivery timestamps, and both parties' ratings to make a call, which can mean a full refund, a partial refund, or release to the traveler. The full self-serve dispute flow rolls out in Phase 2; before that, disputes are handled directly by our team.
