BRNG vs. Package Forwarders
Package forwarders (services that give you a foreign shipping address and forward packages on) and BRNG solve a similar problem differently: forwarders handle any order volume on your own schedule for a per-shipment fee; BRNG uses travelers already flying to Pakistan, which can be faster and cheaper per item but depends on someone actually flying your route soon. Neither is strictly better β it depends on timing and what you're ordering.
How package forwarders generally work
A package forwarder (services like Grabngo, Ubuy, iShopUShip, Global Shopaholics, or MyUS fall in this category) gives you a shipping address in a market like the US or UK. You order from any retailer to that address, the forwarder receives and consolidates your packages, and then ships the consolidated parcel to you for a fee based on weight/volume plus their service charge.
How BRNG works structurally differently
BRNG doesn't operate a warehouse or shipping network at all. A verified traveler who's already flying to Pakistan buys your item and carries it as personal baggage on their own trip. Your payment sits in escrow the whole time and only releases once you've confirmed delivery β there's no separate warehouse-to-warehouse shipment or customs-brokerage step on anyone's end.
When a forwarder is the better choice
When you need something shipped regardless of travel timing β no traveler needs to be flying your specific route β or when you're consolidating many small items into one shipment, a forwarder's own schedule and warehouse consolidation is genuinely useful. It doesn't depend on anyone's travel plans.
When BRNG works better
When a verified traveler is already flying your route soon, BRNG can be faster β no warehouse consolidation or separate customs clearance on a forwarder's end β and the cost is a single delivery reward rather than forwarder fees stacked on top of international freight. See our Amazon ordering guide for a worked comparison of the cost structure.
A note on fairness
We've tried to describe what forwarders do structurally, rather than make claims about any specific service's pricing or quality β Grabngo, Ubuy, iShopUShip, Global Shopaholics, and MyUS each set their own rates and change them over time, so check a service's own current pricing and reviews directly before comparing costs. Neither option is strictly better β which one makes sense depends on your timing and what you're ordering.

FAQs
- When you need something shipped regardless of travel timing β no traveler needs to be flying your route β or when you're consolidating many small items into one shipment. Forwarders operate on their own schedule, which is valuable when timing doesn't matter as much as certainty of a ship date.

- No β BRNG isn't a customs broker or logistics company. The traveler carries the item as personal baggage under standard traveler customs rules; BRNG doesn't file customs paperwork on anyone's behalf. See our customs allowance guide for how that works.
